PCBOARD.DAT is the configuration file for PCBoard. This file is in
ASCII format with each configuration separated with a comma. The first
two entrees are the sysop's first name, and his password. These have no
effect on the action of the DOOR, so I suggest not changing them. The
only entrees you should change are the following:
COM1 to whatever COM port you use, COM1, COM2, or COM3.
9600 is the initial baud rate, and should be changed to
the baud rate your COM port is initialized at. In the form, 300, 1200, 2400, 9600, or 19200.
The last thing to be changed is the number directly under
the first 7 in my phone number. This would be line
15 in the file. This number is your COM port again
but this time you need only enter the number of your
COM port. In the form 1, 2, or 3.
I suggest you keep your PCBOARD.SYS and PCBOARD.DAT files in your
Bulletin Board root directory. You can run these DOORS with your
PCBOARD.SYS and PCBOARD.DAT in the BBS root directory by editing
the DOOR config file (.CFG). This program has only been tested in
this manner.
Please support the authors of these DOOR programs, and be sure and
tell them about Wildcat v1.10.
If you are having any problems with these DOORS, or this file, call
my BBS. The Wall - 714-775-4974 300-9600 bps USR HST
